Valley Leadership participants announced

Phoenix-based nonprofit Valley Leadership has announced the 54 participants of its 2008-09 Class of Leadership Institute, now in its 30th year. The class runs from September to June and aims to instill leadership development skills in local community leaders. This year’s participants include Katie Campana, Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce; Tony Colon, Maricopa County Public Defender’s Office; Ruben Gallego, city of Phoenix; Rob Israel, John C. Lincoln Health Network; Van Ornelas, Arizona State University; Laura Pastor, South Mountain Community College; Joe Perez, city of Phoenix; Karla Robles, Be A Leader Foundation; Avein Saaty-Tafoya, Clinica Adelante Inc.; Yazmin Venegas, Spanish Media Translation Services; and Felipe Zubia, DMB Associates Inc. In addition, Louis Dominguez was elected as chairman-elect of Valley Leadership.
