Univision KTVW 33 wins awards

KTVW reporter Ruben Pereida and photojournalist Steve Aron earned Gabriel Awards from the Catholic Academy for Communication Arts Professionals. In addition, photojournalist Mario Barraza received the Videography Feature Award from the National Association of Hispanic Journalists. KTVW Univision 33’s winning entry for the NAHJ journalism award was the feature report Infancia Sin Patria (Childhood Without a Country), which portrayed the dangerous perils through which children and youth have to pass in order to enter the United States illegally, and the fate that awaits many of them when returned to their native country. www.univision.net.
