Castro named to national board

Bert Castro, CEO and president of the Phoenix Zoo, has been named to board of directors by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. Prior to moving to Phoenix, he served seven years as the executive director/CEO of the Oklahoma City Zoological Park and Botanical Garden. An AZA member since 1985, Castro has served on the Diversity Committee and Ethics Committee, and currently serves as Chairman on the Wildlife Conservation and Management Committee.
