Artists get grants

Four Latino arts groupshave been awarded grans by the city of Phoenix Office of Arts and Culture. Teatro Bravo got $2,125 for its production  Los Illegals. Cultural Coalition received $2,500 for its production La Pastorela. Colores Actors-Writers Workshop got $3,000 for its production of Voices of Valor. The Cesar Chavez Foundation got $3,500 for a one-act play about Chavez. The Phoenix Office of Arts and Culture awarded $889,621 in grants to 79 nonprofits and schools in the 2008-09 fiscal year.
