Take me out to the fall game

What do former Arizona State star Dustin Pedroia, Albert Pujols and Jimmy Rollins have in common?

Well, before they were MVP in their respective leagues, they were members of an Arizona Fall League team.

And who knows what rising star you can catch this year as the 2009 Arizona Fall League season opens Oct. 13 with three games: Surprise at Peoria, 12:35 p.m.; Mesa at Phoenix, 12:35 p.m.; and Peoria at Scottsdale, 6:35 p.m.

What a bargain, too. Adult admission is $6; senior (55 and over) and youth (17 and under) admission is $5. Round up 20 or more of your best friends and ducats are just $3 a pop.

The season wraps up Nov. 21 with the Arizona Fall League Championship Game at 12:35 p.m. at Scottsdale Stadium.
