Mark of the Crow

Printmaker leaves ‘Mark’ on 2nd show

Mark of the Crow
LOCAL FINE ART printmaker Joe Segura should be fairly bursting the buttons on his shirt, as a second arts center has opened a show centered on his work for artists.

“Mark of the Crow: The Enduring Impression of Segura Publishing Company” opened Sept. 14 and runs through Dec. 23 at Mesa Contemporary Arts, 1 E. Main St. The arts center counts 34 art works by a variety of contemporary artists (including Roy Wasson Valle, Luis Jimenez and Juane Quick-To-See Smith) who have collaborated with Segura to produce their pieces. The show will exhibit 15 of the collection’s prints in tribute to Segura Publishing Company - whose mark is a crow ready to fly - and its revered founder.
For viewing hours and admission, visit www.mesaartscenter.com or call (480) 644-6567.
