Mesa plans town hall.

The 2006 Mesa Latino Town Hall will be held Oct. 21, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Mesa Community College. Presented by the Mesa Association of Hispanic Citizens, this event provides a forum to discuss issues affecting Mesa’s Latino community. In addition, on Friday, Oct. 20, MAHC has organized a tardeada reception for new Mesa Police Chief George Gascon at the Mesa Southwest Museum, from 5:30-8 p.m.

Town Hall breakout session topics include leadership, economic development, education and neighborhoods. There will also be a non-profit and business expo, and health fair. Pre-registration is required. Call (480) 472-0550 or register online at www.mahcaz.org.
