The Heard Museum, hot on the heels of its fall sale and film festival, is revving up for its annual Spanish Market Nov. 11 and 12.If you love to shop for items that aren't in mall stores, this could be your shopping nirvana. Artworks by about 70 top Hispanic artists from Arizona and New Mexico are featured at this annual marketplace.
What's cool is many artists will be on hand to meet buyers as they sell a range of distinctive work. From jewelry and music to paintings and sculptures, the Spanish Market offers buyers a wide selection of objects. Visitors also will see such Hispanic traditions as santos, pottery, colcha embroidery, furniture making, painting, printmaking and silver and tinwork.
