The new leadership of CPLC

Lots of changes going on at Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. now that Edmundo Hidalgo has assumed the role of CPLC’s President/Chief Executive Officer. CPLC is ranked the second largest Latino non-profit in the country. Under his new leadership several others have been named as part of CPLC’s new executive management team. Hidalgo had been Chief Operating Officer of CPLC since 1999. Hidalgo is responsible for the day to day operations of a state-wide community development corporation focusing on social services, education, economic development and affordable housing. In addition, he will be responsible for planning, directing and implementing a comprehensive community support service system for CPLC’s state-wide programs.

The changes in CPLC’s new executive leadership management team include the promotion of Martin Quintana to Chief Financial Officer for CPLC. He will be overseeing CPLC’s Accounting, Finance, Information Technology Services and Quality Assurance. He was formerly Sr. Executive Vice President for CPLC.

Arjelia “Argie” Gomez
has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer for CPLC and will be responsible for Behavioral Health Services, Child & Family Welfare, Community & Social Development, Human Resources, Tucson Programs & Community Affairs.

Gomez first joined CPLC in 2006 as VP of Behavioral Health Services. Argie has also served as executive director of a publicly funded children’s behavioral health system and president/CEO of People of Color Network in Arizona. Her years of experience in public/government and private profit and non-profit work saw her supervising programs in seven states and Puerto Rico.

David Adame has been appointed as Chief Development Officer and will play a crucial role in developing CPLC’s Multi-family Housing Program TIEMPO, Agudo Development, Phoenix housing initiatives, Tucson’s La Causa Companies as well as Tucson and Nogales housing counseling programs. Adame comes from McCormick Baron & Salazar, where he served as vice president of Arizona operations.
