Blog features Latino authors

Mainstream media often overlooks Chicano  literature and art, so buena suerte (good luck) trying to keep up with the latest book releases or art happenings.

But now we have La Bloga (http://labloga.blogspot.com/), which started in late 2004 as a blog about Chicano literature and arts but delves into just about anything of interest to the community.

Along with guest columnists, six regulars from Chicago, Denver and Los Angeles post book reviews and news. Other gems include author interviews, heartfelt homages to influential authors and musings on topics like the difference between Chicano and Latino literature. Helpful links include a comprehensive list of Latino authors.

La Bloga was named Best Blog 2006 by Tu Ciudad magazine, a publication covering the Latino community in Los Angeles.
