Tax help in Spanish at H&R Block

Spanish-speaking taxpayers have new help this year when preparing their annual interns for their Tio Sam. H&R Block is opening 257 new Latino offices in 18 markets nationwide, including Tucson and Phoenix. The move is part of the company’s commitment to better serve the Hispanic community during tax season by staffing the offices with bilingual tax professionals. Also, offices have been designed to be culturally inviting and family-friendly, with artwork from by local Hispanic artists, children’s play areas, and magazines. Besides having training on recent tax law changes, staffs at the offices have learned to help new arrivals to the United States better understand the tax process and terminology. Besides Arizona, the offices will be in high-density Hispanic markets, including Albuquerque; Atlanta; Castroville/Monterey, Calif.; Charlotte, N.C.; Chicago; Dallas; El Paso; Ft. Myers, Fla.; Houston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Orlando, Palm Springs, and San Diego. For more, www.hrblock.com.
