Grupo Ñ Bought
Riester, a full-service ad agency, has acquired Grupo Ñ Advertising in a move to increase its reach to Hispanic and other multi-ethnic consumers. Grupo Ñ was formed in 1999. The new division is called as Riester Multi-Cultural. Grupo Ñ will move into Riester's Phoenix office.
Riester is a Phoenix-based, full-service advertising, public relations and public affairs firm with offices in Los Angeles and Salt Lake City. It is rated No. 2 for ad agencies by the Phoenix Business Journal for local capitalized billings.
"Simply put, multicultural marketing goes beyond using relevant imagery or Spanish versus English text; it's about tapping into the consumer's cultural background and experiences to deliver a message that resonates with them," says Sergio Carlos, president of Grupo Ñ, and now Riester's director of multi-cultural services.
"They are an excellent team of marketers who have carved a niche for themselves with the Hispanic consumer - which has always been a priority audience for Riester," says Tim Riester, president and chief executive of Riester.
Clients who will be served by the new Riester Multi-Cultural include Coca-Cola, Herdez Salsa, Maricopa Community Colleges, Arizona State University Office of Community Development, Arizona state agencies and continued integrated work on behalf of the Arizona Lottery.
