The Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (AZHCC) raised more than $35,000 in scholarship pledges for Hispanic students at its 2009 Black & White Ball held at the Downtown Phoenix Sheraton hotel in April. The event drew nearly 1,000 participants. The list of contributors included Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona, Qwest Communications, Humana, Wells Fargo, APS and SRP. The AZHCC honored the 2009 scholarship recipients with a dinner May 19 at the Wrigley Mansion in Phoenix.
