Hey Paula? Do something with that manuscript you’ve been working on. Apply to the
Latino Television Writers Program and create your own reality. You’ll head to Los Angeles for a shot at a Big Break. Airfare, housing, meals and a stipend of $250 a week will be provided. Then it’s no excuses. You’ll have from Nov. 8 to Dec. 13 to write a half-hour comedy or one-hour dramatic television script in English. If network executives think your stuff is
caliente, you could be on your way to becoming a network writer. To download an application, go to:
www.nhmc.org/writers/ Writing samples must be postmarked by Sept. 2 and sent to: National Latino Media Council, 55 S. Grand Ave., Pasadena, CA 91105. Then pray there’s no more writers’ strikes.
