Mural magic

Veteran Chicano artist Martin Moreno is bringing back the tradition of the mural pachanga to Phoenix. Moreno and his wife Silvia manage Cuervo Gallery & Studio at 1505 E. Thomas Road. Every Friday evening the Morenos host a gathering of young and older artistas, art fans and their families to work on a wall-size mural in progress. “This is what we did in the days of the Movimiento (1960-70s),” he says.
