Helping fallen heroes

Mesa Police serve food for donations.

In remembrance of fallen heroes during National Peace Officer Week in May, members of the Mesa Police Association traded in their handcuffs  and badges for menus and serving trays. They waited on diners at the Mesa Riverview Famous Dave’s. All tips were donated to Mesa Police Association’s Officers Assistance Fund. Fabian Cota, Mesa Police Association president, said “Many times when officers are injured on the job, they need additional assistance throughout their recovery to support their families.” The public these officers serve can visit www.mesapolice.org to make a donation to the O.A.F
