UA ADDS WOMEN’S STUDIES DOCTORAL

The Arizona Board of Regents has approved a new doctoral program for the women’s studies department at the University of Arizona.

Incoming doctoral students will be admitted for the 2008-‘09 academic year.

The program will offer a rigorous interdisciplinary education, encouraging students to pursue a wide range of projects and community-based research.

The university joins 14 other schools in the country, including Arizona State University, in offering a doctorate degree in women’s studies.
