Zig Zag to Chills

Zig Zag to Chills

Set to be released July 29, Zig Zag is a great book to lug along on your vacation and read in airports or on the beach. Like Michael Crichton, Spanish mystery/thriller writer Jose Carlos Samoza latches on to modern science for plot twists, while fleshing out fascinating characters we care for and worry about. Elisa Robledo is an advanced physics professor at a prestigious university in Europe, while a young physics grad student was invited to join a select research team working on using String Theory to view images of the past, such as the crucifixion of Christ, or of dinosaurs. But things go unpredictably wrong, and their experiments result in the creation of a strange power that hunts down and kills the team of scientists one by one. Samoza is as popular for his novels in Spanish as Stephen King is here, and like King is a master of building chilling suspense and igniting imagination. Translated from its original Spanish, it’s a smooth read in English, too.
