CenPho Sounds

Those of us who have lived in mas grande que Phoenix burgs like L.A. and Chi-Town have happy memories of strolling into a wall of sound and sights at Black clubs. Get your fix of R&B, neo Soul, urban jazz and the rhythmically spoken word every first and third Wednesday of the month at The Studio Experience at Majerle’s 9 Lounge, 24 N. 2nd St. in “CenPho” (trendy name for central and downtown Phoenix. Check out www.cenpho.com). For the past four years this urban lounge near the corner of 2nd Street and Washington has hosted live bands, with an impromptu/open mic for talented singers and poets.
