ASU HIRES LUERA

The Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication has hired Anita Favela Luera as its new director of high school programs.

As a longtime member of ALMA (Arizona Latino Media Association), Luera and media colleagues each year organize a day-long journalism workshop for 70 Latino high school students.

“We see a need to get young Latinos involved in journalism and news careers early,” Luera says. “This new ASU Cronkite School program will allow greater follow up to efforts like ALMA’s.”
