"We are all every excited about it, and this truly was a team effort," says the Latina TV news anchor and columnist for Latino Perspectives Magazine.
CBS 5 toppled long-time news leader KPNX, 12 News in the May ratings with wins at 10 p.m. and noon. Channel 12, owned by the Gannett Co., had perched at the top of the late-night ratings for 11 years.

"I am grateful to our team for their hard work and the commitment they’ve made to our viewers," says General Manager Steven D. Hammel. For more, visit www.kpho.com.
