TPAC picks new director
Roberto Bedoya selected by the Tucson Pima Arts Council as new executive director.
Roberto Bedoya was selected by the Tucson Pima Arts Council as its new executive director. Bedoya brings more than 25 years of experience in the arts to the position. Prior to joining TPAC, Bedoya worked as an arts consultant, facilitating, planning, programming, and researching for a variety of clients. He worked with The National Alliance for Media Arts and Culture, The Association of Performing Arts Presenters, and the Ford and Rockefeller Foundations in New York City. Bedoya was also the executive director for The National Association of Artists' Organizations in Washington, D.C., from 1996 to 2001.
"I'm extremely excited by what lies ahead and my charge to work with the Tucson arts community and the Arts Council in catalytic ways that advance the cultural vitality of the region," Bedoya says. "The current cultural dynamics at work in Tucson were a major factor behind my acceptance of this position."
