The League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) honored 11 individuals as part of its inaugural LULAC Latino Arts Awards. The recipients are: David Tineo, Silviana Wood, the late Alberto Soto, Lifetime Achievement; Annabelle Nunez and Tucson Councilman Steve Leal, Arts Advocates of the Year; Daniel Martin Diaz, Mariachi Reyes and Los Gallegos, Individual/Group Artists; Norbert Garcia, Youth/Emerging Artist; Raices Taller 222, Latino Arts Organization; and Roskruge Elementary Mariachi Program, Las Artes, Latino Arts Supporter.
