Sí TV cable campaign
Norma Monzanares, executive director of marketing for the L.A.-based Sí TV, says the young cable TV network wants to mount a consumer awareness campaign in Phoenix that will ask Valley Latinos to contact Cox Cable to air Sí’s lifestyle, reality and entertainment programming.
"Cox understands the need for this type of programming, however, there has been no consumer demand," she says from the company’s headquarters. Sí TV was created in 1997 to provide Latino-themed, English-language entertainment to cable viewers ages 18 to 35. Its motto is, "Speak English. Live Latin."
She adds there’s a black hole in the local cable universe for bicultural, English-speaking Latinos.
"Sí TV provides young Latinos a sense of validation," Monzanares says.
If you’d like your Sí TV, she suggests calling Cox or go to www.sitv.com to request their programming.
