PC teachers honored

Phoenix College instructors Kate Cross and Dr. Phil Pepe were selected as 2005-2006 Distinguished Teachers of the Year for their contributions to both the college and their students.

Phoenix College instructors Kate Cross and Dr. Phil Pepe were selected as 2005-2006 Distinguished Teachers of the Year for their contributions to both the college and their students. Cross teaches English, creative writing and ESL. Pepe teaches biology.

Cross has been teaching at Phoenix College since 2000 and became residential faculty in 2003. Pepe has been educating Phoenix College students since 1984 and is the founder of the Geospatial Technology Program at Phoenix College and the Science Alliance, an affiliation of environmental educators dedicated to student research along the Rio Salado. He is also the co-founder of ReefWatch, a private organization dedicated to reef preservation and education.
