A construction celebration was held in June in Ajo for the Curley School Artisan Lofts.

A construction celebration was held in June in Ajo for the Curley School Artisan Lofts, a project to restore and renovate a historic public school built in 1919. The non-profit International Sonoran Desert Alliance is sponsoring the $8.9 million project, which will offer 30 low-income rental units designed for artists, artisans and people with craft businesses. It is scheduled to be completed early in 2007.
