CGCC offers personal training degree

handler-Gilbert Community College will offer a Certificate of Completion and an Associate in Applied Science degree.

Chandler-Gilbert Community College will offer a Certificate of Completion and an Associate in Applied Science degree in Personal Training at 2626 E. Pecos Rd. in Chandler.

Students will gain a fundamental knowledge of human anatomy and physiology, exercise testing and programming principles, nutrition and weight control, injury prevention, enhancement of athletic performance, stress management and small business management. It will also prepare students for advanced certification exams offered by the American College of Sports Medicine, the National Strength and Conditioning Association and the American Council of Exercise.

Upon completion, students can transfer directly into the Exercise and Wellness program at Arizona State University Polytechnic.
