Several Valley Hispanic-owned businesses made the June Hispanic Business 500.
Several Valley Hispanic-owned businesses made the June Hispanic Business 500, the magazine’s 24th annual list of the largest Hispanic-owned firms in the United States. The companies were Essco Wholesale Electric in Chandler at No. 53 with $121 million in revenues, owned by Don Tapia; Sun Eagle Corp. in Chandler at No. 276 with $16 million in revenues, Martin Alvarez, CEO; Creative Human Resources Concepts in Mesa at No. 312 with $13.5 million in revenues, Rosa Cantor, CEO; and Ceiba Technologies in Chandler with $11 million in revenues, John Vargas, CEO.
Four Tucson companies made the Hispanic Business 500, the magazine’s 24th annual list of the largest Hispanic-owned firms in the United States. With a reported $24 million in revenue, CEO William Valenzuela’s 27-year old company, W.G. Valenzuela Drywall Inc., jumped 17 spots to No. 211. Qualified Mechanical Contractors Inc. came in at No. 431. Its owner, Nicholas Nieto, reported revenue of $7.89 million in 2005. Last year’s No. 500, El Charro Café, came in at No. 480 this year with revenue of $6 million under CEO Raymon Flores. All-Star Auto Exchange, with CEO Edmund Marquez, stood at No. 475 with $6.11 million in revenue.
